# GetSettingValue

> GetSettingValue method in the ABBYY FlexiCapture Web Services API: reads a named parameter from the database by user, project, and batch type.

Returns the value of the named parameter that was saved to the database by the [SetSettingValue](/flexi-capture/api/methods/set-setting-value) method. Identically named parameters can hold different values for different users, batch types, and projects.
