# Testing the export settings

> Verify Laserfiche export settings in FlexiCapture by saving and publishing the Document Definition, and then uploading, recognizing, and exporting a document.

Once you have set up export of documents to Laserfiche, make sure that you have saved and published the modified Document Definition.

Upload a document satisfying this Document Definition, say, onto the Project Setup Station, recognize the document, and export it. If everything works correctly, a new file should appear in the Laserfiche repository.
