# Architecture of the FlexiCapture as a service scenario

> Understand how the ABBYY FlexiCapture connector for Pega works: a JAR module on the Pega side sends files to FlexiCapture and retrieves the results.

For this scenario, the ABBYY FlexiCapture Connector for Pega includes a JAR file that gives you access to the classes used for working with the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Web API.

## How the connector module works

The connector module runs on the Pega side. It sends files to ABBYY FlexiCapture for processing and gets the processing results back.
