# Export Classifiers

> Save a Classifier from FlexiLayout Studio as an encrypted .cfl file using the File menu Export command, and then attach it to an ABBYY FlexiCapture batch type.

You can export Classifiers as `*.cfl` files for use in data capture applications. Exported Classifiers are securely encrypted to prevent unauthorized use.

## Export a Classifier

  <Step title="Start the export">
    On the **File** menu, click **Export...**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name and save the file">
    In the **Export Classifier** dialog box, enter a name for the file and select the folder where it should be saved.
  </Step>

The resulting file can be added to an ABBYY FlexiCapture batch type.
