# Sample 2. Step 12: Create the RecipeNumber block

> Add a Text block named RecipeNumber and bind it to the RecipeNumber element as its source, letting ABBYY FlexiCapture recognize the recipe number field.

For ABBYY FlexiCapture to recognize the recipe number, create a block that corresponds to the **Recipe #** field and specify its location.

  <Step title="Open the FlexiLayout tab">
    Click the **FlexiLayout** tab in the FlexiLayout Studio main window.

  <Step title="Select the Blocks node">
    Select **Blocks** in the FlexiLayout tree.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a Text block">
    Select **Add Block → Text** in the **FlexiLayout** menu or the shortcut menu.

  <Step title="Name the block">
    In the **Properties** dialog box, type a name in the **Name** field, for example, **RecipeNumber**.

    <Tip>
      The block name need not match the name of the element for the **Recipe #** field. For convenience, give the block the same name as the field.
    </Tip>

  <Step title="Set the source element">
    To describe the location of the block, select **Source element**, click the **...** (browse) button, and then specify the **RecipeNumber** element as the source element.
