# Adding a Checkmark Field

> Add a checkmark field element to a form with the Checkmark Field tool on the Form Elements toolbar in ABBYY FormDesigner, by dragging or with a single click.

To add a **checkmark field** element:

1. On the [Form Elements](/flexi-capture/form-designer/tool-bars-form-elements) toolbar, select the **Checkmark Field** tool.
2. Click in the form where you wish the **checkmark field** element to be added, hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse diagonally. Release the mouse.

  You can also create an element with a single click of the mouse: once you have selected the required tool, simply click in the form where you wish the element to be added. The default element size will be used. To place several elements of the same type on your form, hold down the **Ctrl** key and click repeatedly where you wish the elements to be positioned.
