# Checkmark Fields

> Checkmark fields are check boxes on machine-readable forms where respondents make a mark; learn how to add, edit, and delete them in ABBYY FormDesigner.

A **checkmark field** is an element of a machine-readable form (usually a check box) in which a mark (e.g. a check, a cross, etc.) is made by the person filling out the form.
