# Adding a Rectangle Element

> Draw a rectangle element on your form with the Rectangle tool on the Form Elements toolbar in ABBYY FormDesigner, sizing it by dragging or with one click.

To add a **rectangle** element:

1. On the [Form Elements](/flexi-capture/form-designer/tool-bars-form-elements) toolbar, select the **Rectangle** tool.
2. Click in the form where you wish the **rectangle** element to be added, hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse diagonally. A rectangle will appear on the screen. Adjust the size of the added element. Release the mouse.

  You can also create an element with a single click of the mouse: once you have selected the required tool, simply click in the form where you wish the element to be added. The default element size will be used. To place several elements of the same type on your form, hold down the **Ctrl** key and click repeatedly where you wish the elements to be positioned.
