# Deleting a Rectangle Element

> Erase a rectangle element from your form in ABBYY FormDesigner by selecting it and choosing Delete from the Edit menu or the shortcut menu.

To delete a **rectangle** element:

1. Select the **rectangle** element you wish to delete.
2. On the **Edit** menu, select **Delete** (or select the **Delete** item on the shortcut menu).
