# Groups of Elements

> Groups of elements join logically connected form elements in ABBYY FormDesigner so you can copy sub-forms with similar field sets; groups can be nested.

A **group of elements** is an element of a machine-readable form which joins several logically connected elements.

For example, you can group elements together to quickly copy them retaining all their properties. One application of groups is the creation of several sub-forms with similar sets of fields.

Groups can be nested.
