# Edit an anchor

> Change anchor type, size, position, and line width in the Element Properties window. Type and size settings apply to every anchor on the form.

The **Type**, **Size**, and **Line width** (corners) properties apply to the whole form. Position and size are set per anchor. Change anchor properties in the **Element Properties** window in the bottom right corner of the [main window](/flexi-capture/form-designer/main-program-window), shown when **View → Element Properties** is selected.

## Element

| Property | Description                         |
| -------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **Type** | Anchor.                             |
| **ID**   | A unique identifier of the element. |

## Position and size

| Property   | Description                                                 |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Left**   | Distance between the left edge of the form and the element. |
| **Top**    | Distance between the top edge of the form and the element.  |
| **Width**  | Width of the anchor element.                                |
| **Height** | Height of the anchor element.                               |

## Anchor

| Property       | Description                                                                                       |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Type**       | Selects the anchor type: **Black square** or **Corner**. A form can contain only one anchor type. |
| **Size**       | Sets the anchor size: the length of each side of the black square or corner.                      |
| **Line width** | Sets the line width of the corner sides (corners only, 0.3–1 mm).                                 |
