# User Script

> Add a user script (custom action) to a field so Operators can trigger custom logic during field verification or in the FlexiCapture document editor.

**User script** is a custom scripting rule triggered by the user when viewing a field during field verification or in the document editor. The script is triggered by clicking ... to the right of the field value or by pressing **Ctrl+Shift+A**.

You can set the custom script on the Custom Action tab of the field properties dialog box (right-click on the field and select **Properties...** on the shortcut menu). To add or delete fields information about which will be available in the user script, use the Add... and Delete buttons. To edit the script, use the [Script Editor](/flexi-capture/interface/script-editor) window which opens when you click Edit...

To make the script accessible to the Operators, select Enable Custom Action.
