Overview of the FlexiLayout Studio tutorial: three samples that build FlexiLayouts for a Halloween registration form, a recipe document, and an invoice.

This tutorial contains three sample FlexiLayouts with step-by-step instructions for building each one.

The samples use one-page documents. For sample FlexiLayouts that process more complex documents, see the folders Contract, Invoice, Letter, Prices, and so on, in %public%\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Samples\FLS.

• Halloween Registration Form builds a FlexiLayout for a simple registration document. You learn how to create blocks and elements, set simple search constraints, and describe field locations. • Easiest Recipes builds a FlexiLayout for a more complex document with various field types. You learn tricks and non-standard approaches for describing field locations. The project, test images, and a ready-made FlexiLayout are in %public%\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Samples\FLS\English\Recipe.
• Invoices builds a flexible Document Definition (FlexiLayout) for a simple invoice. You create blocks and elements of type Table and learn approaches for realistic images. This sample refers to Sample 1. Introduction and Easiest Recipes, which cover elements of other types (except Table) and the most basic actions.
