Constraints

Impose constraints on entry, date, and numeric field values with rules that define admissible value lists, regular expressions, and date or numeric ranges.

You can impose constraints on values to be entered when filling out a form. Constraints are imposed on field values by using rules. Rules allow you to specify the list of admissible values, regular expressions, date or numeric intervals.

Constraints are configured on the Constraints tab of the element properties.

You can set up constraints for the following elements:

• Entry Field
• Date Field
• Numeric Field
