For each group of elements the following properties are specified: coordinates, size, line style, background color, and linked field. You can change the properties of the group of elements element in the Element Properties window located in the bottom right corner of the main window. The Element Properties window is displayed only if View → Element Properties is selected on the main menu.

Element

Type — Group of elements. ID — A unique identifier of the element.

Position and size

Left — Sets the distance you wish between the left edge of the form and the element with no left indent. Top — Sets the distance between the top edge of the form and the element. Width — Sets the width of a group of elements. Height — Sets the height of group of elements.

Text

Text — Edits the explanatory text for a group of elements. Font — The font used for the text within the element. To change the font, its size and style (italic, bold, underline, etc.) click the Change … button and in the Font dialog box that appears, select the required font, font size and style. Color — Selects a text color from the drop-down list for dropout forms or from the palette for color forms. Word wrap — Wraps the lines of the text without breaking words.

Line

Width — Sets line width (ranging from 0.1 mm to 2.5 mm). Style — Sets the style of the line:
  • Dashes
  • Dots
  • Solid
Color — Selects a line color from the drop-down list for dropout forms or from the palette for color forms.

Background

Same as form background — Makes the background of the group of elements the same color as the background of the form. Other — Selects a background color for the group of elements from the drop-down list for dropout forms or from the palette for color forms.
The range of available colors depends on the type of your form (black and white or color).

Linked Field

Linked field — By default, whenever you create an element on your form, a field is created within the document structure to which this element is linked. To link your element to another field of the same type, select the name of the field from the drop-down list.
