Availability of this feature depends on your role. For more information, see Role-Based Access Control.
By default, a skill is exported with its document set and data catalog records. You can change these settings in the Export Skill dialog box. Note that the structure of any data catalogs linked to a Document skill is always included in the export, regardless of your settings. Keep the following in mind before exporting:
  • If the exported skill will be used by people outside your organization, make sure the document set does not contain confidential information.
  • A skill exported without its document set cannot be further trained — it can only be retrained from scratch using a new document set.
When exporting a Process skill, you can choose to include all skills it references, along with their data catalog records and document sets. The data catalog structure for any referenced Document skills is always exported. The most recently published version of a skill is exported by default. To export a previous version, copy that version first, and then export the copy. To export a skill:
  1. In the Skill Catalog, left-click the skill (anywhere except the skill name), and then click Export in the toolbar.
  2. In the Export Skill dialog box, clear the Export skill with document set option if you want to exclude the training document set.
  3. Click Export. The skill is archived to a ZIP file, which may take a moment. Once ready, the file downloads automatically to your local Downloads folder.
Skills with large document sets (more than 100 documents) are exported via SFTP. When the export is complete, you will receive an email from Vantage with a link to a shared folder and credentials. The link includes all credentials, so no separate username or password is needed. You can open the shared folder using any SFTP client. The folder is deleted after 14 days.
