Automation Anywhere connector usage scenarios

Compare the unattended and attended service scenarios for the ABBYY FlexiCapture Connector for Automation Anywhere, with or without document verification.

The ABBYY FlexiCapture Connector for Automation Anywhere is typically used in one of two scenarios. The FlexiCapture MetaBot component runs on the Automation Anywhere side in both.

Unattended service scenario

Files are sent synchronously from Automation Anywhere to ABBYY FlexiCapture 12, and no verification is required.

The MetaBot uses the Export logic to send a file to ABBYY FlexiCapture, and then receives the name of the matching Document Definition along with the processing results.

Attended service scenario

Files are sent asynchronously from Automation Anywhere to ABBYY FlexiCapture 12, and verification is required.

The MetaBot uses the Export logic to send a file to ABBYY FlexiCapture, and then receives a URL linking to a document verification page on the Web Verification Station.

The user opens that link and verifies the document. After verification finishes, the Import logic retrieves the name of the matching Document Definition and the processing results.

Either scenario takes the same two configuration steps:
